GivingTuesday NOW:Help Mental Health Therapy Remain Affordable
GivingTuesday has announced May 5, 2020, as a global day of giving and unity as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
Let us come as one to increase generosity, philanthropic engagement, and activate the good in citizens globally. GivingTuesday NOW reminds us that together we help, together we heal, together we stand.
Join the global movement of good and support us today!
We can’t escape the devastating financial and emotional impacts of COVID-19. Businesses are closed. Financial livelihoods are at stake. Systems of support are breaking down. Social distancing, for many, means increased depression, anxiety, and fear. For others, social distancing and isolation results in greater vulnerability to substance abuse or domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Now, more than ever before, many people are seeking mental health services to help them cope with obstacles and challenges, yet fewer people have the financial means and stability to afford counseling. Hillside Wellness Center has a tremendous opportunity to serve our community at this time, and we need your help.
We are offering free services via phone and internet in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic impact on our patients. We are committed to providing therapy and support at no cost during this time of crisis, but Hillside is also suffering financially as we’ve had a 84% decrease in revenue from patient fees over the past few weeks. Without generating as much revenue through patient fees, Hillside faces an uncertain future and will need support in order to continue our work now and to remain a viable community resource in the future.
We invite YOU to take this opportunity to help those who are struggling by making a gift to Hillside Wellness Center. Your support will help our community be more resilient as we recover from this difficult time. Every dollar counts, your donation of even $1 will help our doors remain open to continue helping mothers and families in need of mental health services.
