Rise to the Challenge | Emerge Strong
Virtual Cocktail Class Fundraiser

We want to thank all of our donors who have renewed their gifts this year and new donors who have joined our community. Because you stood shoulder to shoulder with us during the early days of the pandemic, we were able to meet this crisis head-on and serve a critical role for youth and their families. Your support gave us the confidence to push forward when everything was uncertain. You allowed us to keep our staff team in place through May and gave us the chance to gracefully transition staff out of the organization whose roles were no longer essential to our services to youth, families, and communities.
We are deeply grateful for the significant contributions made by our Annual Corporate Lead Donors.
As we prepare for the new school year with no signs of the health crisis abating, our team is gearing up for more frontline services. The disproportionate impact of this pandemic on people of color shines a light on the complex, often multi-generational challenges that our families face. BGCSF remains resolute in standing on the side of the kids and families who need us most. Our plan is to keep ten sites open while continuing to offer virtual services at no less than eight locations.
We are grateful that you have stood by our side throughout this long and protracted crisis, helping us EMERGE STRONG - and we hope you will continue to stay with us. These are challenging times for everyone, but more than ever, the Club is a beacon of hope for kids and families.
While the entire BGCSF family was saddened by the necessary decision to cancel summer camp in Mendocino, the BGCSF team immediately set about making plans to bring Camp Mendocino magic to our youth in the City and the Clubs. Find out how we're recreating the Camp spirit and community beyond the redwoods this summer! Read the full story here.
With COVID-19 school closures leading right into summer, the amount of time that kids are out of the classroom has doubled to five months. BGCSF is offering intense summer learning at eight locations, focusing on literacy and STEM programs, in order to counteract the effects of Summer Learning Loss and the COVID-19 Slide.
